I was born in California and spent most of my childhood in the Midwest. I went to school at the University of Cincinnati and graduated with a BS in Industrial Design. Then, I spent 8 years in New York City, where my career evolved from designing products for companies like Polaroid Corp., AT&T and the Hyster Company to creating and directing strategic image programs for companies like Coca Cola, Elizabeth Arden, Long John Silver’s and Drexel Heritage.
In 1992, while vacationing in Big Sky, Montana, I decided it made more sense to live in Montana and vacation in New York. I spent the next two years developing ArtZ’s business concept while working in NYC.
I moved to Bozeman, Montana in 1995 with a line of ArtZ products, while still doing some design consulting work. I met my future husband a few years later while skiing at our local ski resort. And now, I live here with my husband, two children and two dogs. We have designed and built a beautiful sustainable home and studio/office for ourselves near downtown Bozeman where we enjoy the community and mountains soaring around us. When we are not working, we enjoy the outdoor activities’ Montana has to offer; skiing, hunting, hiking, fly-fishing and camping to name a few.
As for work, my main focus is ArtZ, but I also continue to consult in Industrial Design and work with my husband in his architectural business where we collaborate on products for the home called ‘Architecture in Details’.
I am active in the Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club where I focus on improving literacy in our area and abroad. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Bozeman Area Community Foundation; an organization dedicated to building endowments that serve the nonprofit organizations in our community.
